Florida Marlins

The season opener for the two time World Champion Florida Marlins 2000 Baseball season. Shown on all USA Network stations in the U.S. Also shown on the JumboTron at the Marlins games. Some of the players seen in the spot are no longer with the team, although Luis Castillo can be seen breifly (holding the ball as if to throw).

We tried to present the players as "action figures" of themselves. None of the players moved in any of the shots. All the "deep freeze" style effects were done in-camera using the 435's speed ramping feature.

All the close-up shots of the uniforms, gloves, bats, ect.. were shot on Kodak's then just-released 5285 Ektachrome reversal stock and cross-processed.
